Bad Luck!!!
Hey guys got into a car accidents 2 days before thanksgiving and the car is still in the body shop. Well we both have mercury insurance but im having trouble convincing her insurance that it was completly her fault but, there was no police report so its my word against her. Police officer did show up but he said there was no injuries and the only thing he would do was to exchange our information and that he wasn't going to write a report

So far the body shop pulled out the chasis, installed new hood, fender, radiatior, engine mounts, AC condenser, pulley and alot of other things but I have a question would the transmission or engine get messed up in any way? its a 1998 GST (AUTO) [IMG] [/IMG]

Re: Bad Luck!!!
I doubt the motor or tranny were affected in any way looking at that damage. Sorry about the accident, and good luck with the useless insurance companies...

Re: Bad Luck!!!
As long as you did not drive away from the accident with a damaged radiator you should be ok. A buddy of mine crashed his '02 Acura RSX, damaged his radiator and kept driving to avoid police involvment. A few miles down the road his car came to a halt cause he blew his head gasket.

well my insurance is fixing my car right now, but I want the other insurance to pay for all the damages that way my insurance rate doesnt go up more than it already is. I got a lawyer but that guy doesnt do crap but his secretary is fucken hot. So the body shop guy said I should be getting my car sometime whithin this month.

this brings up something i was thinking about earlier. will insurance companies cover you for a car thats modded? i'm not sure, but dont you have to report mods and whatever to the company? or else if you get ina wreck they'll pull some kinda b/s out their ass about you not informing them on whats been done to the car.

Re: Bad Luck!!!
They will only cover stock parts. So if your aftermarket front bumper gets smashed, its getting replaced with stock. In my state insurance companies have to take a picture of the car before they will provide collision coverage. So there will be proof that you have aftermarket body parts, but you typically still have to pay a little extra to cover these parts. In some cases just having the reciepts will cover aftermarket parts automatically, only they are permanently attached (example, a sub box just sitting in the hatch is not covered, but an amp bolted to the floor is). Every state is different though, and within each state each insurance company can have its own rules...
