Mr2 turbo comparsion

currently i have a 2.2 N/A motor for my 1991 toyota mr2, i planning on going turbo. Should i get the stock 94' rear clip 2.0 turbo engine swap in or should i go w/ this kit 5SFE-T (http://www.poweredbytoyota.com/ssfeturbo.html). plz let me no info on both powerplants; price, hp, future hp? etc

Theres a person that auto-x's a sick turbo mr-2. We have a race this sunday, if hes there, I'll be sure to ask him for ya and reply with his answer.

I would vote for the 3SGTE motor if only because it is the stock setup and could probably be had for pretty little effort. I'm going to say that what you do would probably depend on your money and mechanical ability as the initial swap I've heard to be pretty much not worth the effort. I remember hearing somewhere that if you were planning on doing the upgrade you may as well buy a turbo model because it would be easier, but I dunno.

I heard that the stock engine cannot put make than 200 whp. Get the engine that was built for the boost.

yes dat was my plan to buy a 2.0 turbo Mr2 but i asked myself y, would i want a broken down turbo?

so i bought a n/a so i can swap a 2.0 into it for a clean nice engine FEELS LIKE NEW, i was just wondering wat would be better, i thought the 2.0 stock was so ty for ur input guys!
