I'm having an unsusal problem. The wiper blades refuse to work at all.
No matter what position I put the selector on the steering collum nothing happens. One time I swear I heard some faint clicking noise. Only one thing works as far as the wipers are concerned. The button for the wiper fluid actually works and sprays on the windshield. I checked all the fuses that I possibly could. I checked both door fuse places and the one under the hood. I'm thinking since I heard some faint clicking noises, that a relay went bad. If this is the culprit where is it located and how much can one be bought for? Thanks, Dad |

Well the relay should be inder the hood with all of the other major fuses and relays. Either that or you have a bad switch in the steering column.

wiper problem question
i hads the same problem in my 1998 malibu, and the actually problem was that both of the wipers had be broken off of the motor in the inside of the engine, and the enitre wiper motor had to be replaced, the wiper motor costs about 120.00, and i put it in myself, and the only problem i encountered was that the seal on the windshield is a pain in the ass to get back on the molding. Good luck with ur motor

Obviously I'll do this in a quiet area with the radio off and engine off also! Thanks for the advice! Dad |

Well as someone previously stated it was the wiper motor itself.
I went to the local junk yard and picked one up for 40 and all is well again. Thanks for all the help, Dad |
