A question for automatic owners......

Does anyone have this problem their automatic......When at cruising speeds, at times the rpm's will go up slightly and back down some times over and over. It almost seems like the transmision is "hunting", down shifting then upshifting, although it does'nt feel like a full shift. Is this the trans or something else? How can I fix it?

Re: A question for automatic owners......

hmm never really had that problem, do you have the EX/SI tranny? Or do you have the DX automatic? I notice with mine that sometimes when i step on the gas the rpms jump and the car goes nowhere for a sec, but then it catches. I think that's 14 years of wear and tear on the tranny, gonna hafta buy another automatic sometime soon from a junkyard or something

Try adjusting your kickdown cable.

Re: A question for automatic owners......

Where is the kickdown cable and how do I adjust it?

I have the DX auto trans, what's the difference from a Si auto?
