buy 1999 escort zx2?
A friend needs to get rid of their 1999 zx2 and is offering it to me. They want me to take over payments (they want nothing more), with about $4000 left to pay. There are somewhere around 60,000 miles on it with a warranty until 75,000. Should I go for this? When do these cars start to go out? Are there any specific problems with this car at this year/mileage? Thanks for any advice!

thats a good deal 15k still on the warrenty, only 60k on the car.
is it auto or manual, if it it is auto has the tranny ever been serviced. Has the timingbelt been changed yeat?

they should normaly be replaced every 60k
