Re: jeep service manual

The tan wire goes to pin 3 on the 18 pin connector of the instrument cluster. It is for the alternator lite.

The wire for the volt gauge is at pin 6 (white with black tracer) on the same connector. It gets power from the gauges fuse as well.

Does your volt meter work???

Thats the best info I have.

Re: jeep service manual

If there are numbers you will need a magnifying glass if your like me!!!

should be third one from the end and next to a blue wire (if I'm right). If I'm not, look for the same color/tracer wire in the connector.

This is making less sense now that you say you have no lite. I hope you can find something here with what I've given you. I won't be able to check anything else till morning.

Ah, that was a serious post, and all I was trying to do is help. I posted that with intention that if you didn't find an answer for what you were looking for, you could have ordered a manual. That's good for that you have a wife and 3 boys, but keep in mind I don't know that. Next time I'll think twice before trying to help.

Re: jeep service manual

Glassman556:

Go to www.cnet.com and go to downloads. In the search box type Winrar or WinZip. Download it and after it's download go to that filename and doulbe click on the filename that has .exe on the end of the name. It should install that program. So now go to the downloaded file and it should unzip and you should be able to read the .pdf files. If you don't have Adobe Acrobat Reader go to www.adobe.com and go to downloads and download the reader.
