Rear Speakers problems

I tried to replace my 6x9 in my 97 GTP, i changed them no problem, but my 6x9 dont work. So I swaped wires from the other little speaker in the back and still didnt work, but I know the little speaker works when I hook it back up. I just cant figure out how come the 6x9 wont work. Any ideas. Thanks for your help.

i dont really know the 97 gtp like i do some other cars but if the "little speaker" in the back is a tweeter, depends on how the stereo is set up using them wires to power a regular speaker might either not have enough power or be crossed over and to high of a freq. If your questioning if the speaker is any good try hooking it up to the wires for one of the front speakers, if it works there chances are that you got a wiring problem to your rear speakers. you would either have to find the problem and fix the bad wire or just run compleatly new wires, which would probably be easier.

Does your car have bose in it because if it does you have to bypass the bose amp. let me know i can help you out i am MECP certified for car audio, and security.

Ya - but if you have the bose system setup why replace em - i have the bose an it sounds so freakin nice ... i just put in a 2k watt system for 2 12"s in the rear an it sounds better than alot better then most people's show stereo systems...

to look an see if u have a amped rear deck - u will see it between the rear speakers on the back dash the underside... it will look sort of like a little mini amp...

did u blow the rear spkrs is that why u want to replace them?
