1g/2jz

I was hoping someone here could help me with some questions. Does anyone know if the 1G-FE weighs about the same as a 2JZ and dimention wise. Cuz Toysport was telling me that they are about the same size and wieght. That just seems a bit off, but they are waaay more experience than I am so I wanted to know what people here know.
Thanks

Re: 1g/2jz

well they are about the same size but the 1jz is a 2.5L 6 and the 2jz is a 3.0L 6. (i get this all mixed up, but i think this is the diffrence). The stoke is smaller on the 1jz and the valves are smaller too... (but I think Im wrong)

Sorry I must clairify better, im compairing a 1G-FE, that is a 2.0L inline-6 to a 2JZ,a 3.0L inline-6. Toysport said the were about the same dimentions (not displacement) and wieght. And I wanted to know if anyone on here knew otherwise. Becuase with similiar mechanics but a one liter difference I would think otherwise. Thanks for any info.

Re: 1g/2jz

1g-fe the same size and weight? fuck no...its a whole liter of displaement more as well as the 2jz has tt and an intorcooler to weigh it down...why would u use a 1g-fe they only have like 120 Hp...use a 1g-gte the twin charged cousin of that motor...has something like 210 HP

Re: 1g/2jz

i was comparing the 1G to a N/A 2JZ, but yea I agree with you. But I'm currently looking at a new 1G-FE, it makes about 155 hp and later s/c it or just make it a great n/a motor. I'm not looking for a lot just 200hp

well right now i can only find a 1G-GTE for 2K, I don't want to spend that much on a 20 year old motor.

Re: 1g/2jz

yea true. I'm going to have to think about it more. Since I don't really want a motor that will be a lot heavier than the 22RE.
