Unhappy CD Deck doesnt work after Intake...

hmmm...Ok we disconnected the battery during install...continued to install...dont let a Big Friend help you install...he might know what hes doing but geez his brute force is rediculous...ok...then when it was all done to see what I had bought for 211.36 ok... My other friend wanted to sue the horn so i connected it and he pushed the horn the horn went off scared the shit out of me and i pulled it off as he held it../ and it sparked like crazy...and when i went to put it back on he had it held still and it sparked agane. could this have shorted my Deck out? The Antenna doesnt even ome up and the Face of the Deck doesnt ligth up or respond? All info may help and possibly what i would have to do to fix it...could maybe a fuse break? and what would it be under the name for the fuse?

Thank You

lol

I knew exactly what i was doing...havent checked fuses but i will...ummm...i Pulled the Wire from the terminal on the battery. The guy who was on the Horn doesnt know much about cars...thats why that happened he watched under the crack when i had it on he pushed the horn then I being a retard jerked my hand because i didnt think ti would be that loud and the Wire came with it. And when i went to put it back on he was still on the horn...i meant USE the horn not Sue the horn.

Yes I did know what i was doing..how did it sound like we had no idea what were doing?

Re: CD Deck doesnt work after Intake...

no because you made it sound like you guys were just fucking around trying this and that, and then your cd player didnt work. It just sounded like you had a mad house of kids jumping in/out of your car. I mean he was pushing the horn??? sounds like a a little 5 year old that just likes to push buttons. If people were fucking around in my car while im trying to install shit, i would pretty much tell them to leave or to grow up or something, or do there girlfriend....and tell them how do you like when i push buttons on your baby huh!!!!..sorry to tell you i think she enjoyed it more than i whahahahahaa.

ok...

Checked Fuses by checkin ones in the kick panel...ummm I took my "Audio" one out and was going to put my Blinker one in there since its the same Volt or Amp not sure then i dropped it...so gotta get a new on for that and then i took my "RR Wiper / R/C Mirror" one off and then put it in the Audio and no then the Deck didnt light up... but hen when i put my R/C Mirror 10A back it worked...I dont know how to check the ones under the hood...if theyre bad and none of them are labled for "Accesory" or "Audio"...i think the Audio might be for the Speakers themselves...im gonna post some pics of my Fuses under hood and see if you can tell me which one i should replace/check...

Once again thanks everybody...

Re: CD Deck doesnt work after Intake...

good word of advice, my car did the same prob and i fixed it myself, so i thot, and yea ive gone thru 3 alternators now, take it to best buy or some shop like that, that deals car audio equipment and ask them just what you should do just to be on the safe side. see i dicked around wit mine far too long and then decided to take the power wire from the back of the deck straight to the positive on my battery terminal, only minus is, u gotta remember to shut ur cd player off manual when u turn off the engine, if theres anything i do know how to do, its rig electrical...lol, its horrible, my car is an electrical mad house

Re: CD Deck doesnt work after Intake...

Check the alternator fuse. Its the big one at the end of the fuse box right behind the battery. I shorted mine out by touching a wrench between my oil sender and the hot-wire running to the alternator. Scared the shit out of me. But not as bad as none of my interior components working. hahahahahaha.

BTW it started out with the radio not coming on at first, but coming on if I blipped the throttle. But after about 5 times of that, it stopped working all together.

Is the alternator fuse?

Is teh alternator fuse labeled "Alternator" in the main fuse box under the hood?
