I had purchased my pathfinder used and only received one key with it. I found out later that a new key at the dealer cost about $100!! I found blank transponder keys on ebay for $15.00. Could someone tell me how to program the new key? Thank you.

The key for your 2000 pathfinder uses a system called NATS{nissan anti theft system}.The transponder must be programmed into the IMMU and ECM.This can only be done at the dealer.Consult 2 is the only way to programm new keys.Otherwise anyone can buy a key, copy your cut and programm it themselves.

You can actually try and find a locksmith that cuts car keys cuz some of them can program these kind of keys. I had to get a extra set of keys for my 02 pathy, and the locksmith only charge $80 to cut 2 keys and program 3 keys compared to couple hundred it would have cost at the dealer.
