Hard to start
I have a 95 escort wagon 1.9L. When starting it (hot or cold), I have to crank for a few seconds. Stop. Then crank again before it starts up. Some times I have to repeat those steps. No trouble codes. It runs strong, no problem there. New plug wires, plugs.
Any ideas? |

Re: Hard to start
It sounds like either a clogged fuel filter, or a sending unit about to go bad.

I am suspecting a restricted fuel filter, but what sending unit are you thinking about?? |

Re: Hard to start
Sending unit, as in the fuel pump itself.
