4agze swapped celica

i had a project on putting a 4age head on my 4afe, it was a possibility untill the day i decided to go on a mountain run with a few friends and spin a rod bearing while climing a hill.... the car is basicaly undrivable i dont know how it made it home ...

i bought a 4agze outta a toyota levine...ae101/ae92
im gunna use the bottem end and supercharger on the levine...but use the F head on my celica

reasons being
1) supercharger on that thing sucks and robs an assload of tourqe, and we all know F heads give a plentiful supply f tourqe
2)i need this car to be riliable, get DECENT gas mialage (it has a supercharger, nuff said)
3)i HAVE TO pass smog, the new motors head dosent come with and is not set up for an EGR vavle witch is needed to pass smog

everything matches up, i know this from my previous experience with my 4age head i was gunna put on...ALL bolt patterns are the same, exhaust manifold and small port manifolds...i might use the aftermarket G hear i bought and the SMall port non tvis intake manifold i still have but i dont know...as far as everything else goes it should be fairley simple, the tranny i got is a 5 speed LSD tranney so ill be putting that in as well as new half shafts (cost 70 for passenger and 60 for driver, it was somthing like 135 total, ouch) everything put me back around 1200, so far

one problem also is that the 4agze have 7 steam vent "ribs'" to vent excess heat/steam, the F head has none...theres a chance i would crack the block if it ever got really hott...so ill probably need to get a race ready radiator to cool my shit down better

theres only one real problem im having, i have never wroked with asupercharger be4 and that could cause a problem with the swap
thats not as expensive as you think to tell u tha truth

motor+ tranney+ wirering harness(not needed im using f head) and fuel pump - $1200
new half shafts-$130
Already had a walbroh 255PL supra tt pump $150
Need to either use 4agze injectors or get aftermarket $0
buy al new belt witch should be around $100
I need to find a good SAFC fuel contorller (if anyones sees one with lcd screen and is fairely nice PM ME)
As well as get a boost controller...to tell u the truth i will probably need to re chip the ecu to compensate with all the fuel being dumped in there...either that r just use the fuel controller to give it a shit load of more fuel

if anyone has any ?'s or comments or suggestions please feel free to PM me

Re: 4agze swapped celica

it had 48,000 kolometers on it so like 30,000 miles on it...my pops isa mechanic and he piched the idea to me of buying aries forged pistons and rebuild it first for crazy boost...i was thinking about it but im using my dads garage at his house so i dont want to take it up for that long so im probably not going to do that even tho i should while its outta the car... he suggested i rebuilt it with AEM stuff

Re: 4agze swapped celica

hes the one that pitched the idea in the first place i origially when the rod broke was gunna buy a high comp 4age (10.3:1 instead of my 9.3:1) and use th bottem end and my F head...but then he was like why dont u just go all out and buy what you want and not what u need... and scince i had to pay for college classes lately he said hed pitch in some becuase i had helped him out a couple times on his truck and pullin the motor on my moms mustang for him

Re: 4agze swapped celica

those fuckers jewed me....i had a pre arranged meeting to go pick the motor up on thursday, they said it might not be pulled intime becuase they were doing me the favor of puling it outta a front clip and selling it to me as a motor set instead of a front clip...yeah they sold MY front clip..im fucking pissed, the tech reassured me they are getting more in this wednesday

that kills my plan of doing it during a 3 day break, but actually it might be better so i can get my fuel controller and get new wheel bearings
