help with my car
So lately my car has been running and it smells like gas when i get out. my o2 light would come on after a while but that was the only code it was throwing. replaced my sensor took it out and tested it it was still good so i dont think its the o2 sensor that is actually bad. so anyway i figured it was my car running rich or bad so i replaced my plugs and wires. still does it now and im getting frustrated. its not throwing any other codes but still smells like extra gas is comeing out of my exaust. any ideas as to why this would be happening?

Re: help with my car
Checked your timing lately? Might be off slightly. Other than that, I have no clue.

Re: Re: help with my car
it could be your map sensor shifted,
also could be your fuel pressure regulator stuck closed, a weak ignition coil, bad distributor cap, rotor button,ext.. a pickup unit or wiring, make sure nothings loose in the distributor, good luck

Re: help with my car
It's start with fuel filter, bad fuel lines / connections, fuel injectors could be leaking. Could just be a seal has gotten old and is leaking some fuel.

Re: help with my car
Oh, didn't see the comment about the smell coming out of the exhaust. In that case it still could be a fuel injector leaking extra fuel into the engine, or your fuel pressure is too high (not sure how that could happen), but it's going to be something that leaking excess fuel into the engine.
