Cool Memory Seat setting light won't come on to set with new settings

Could it be as simple as replacing a fuse? I bought the car used and I absolutely love it, but every time I open the door the seat moves all of the way up - the headrest goes all of the way up and every so often when driving the seat will move without warning? Anyone else with this problem? It is very annoying.

i dont know for sure. but with my vague knowledge on electrical, my guess is the switch. i dont know about the door problem, but random movement could be caused by a shorting switch or some other wires shorting out.

Re: Memory Seat setting light won't come on to set with new settings

It is a 1997. I do have the manual with instructions and it is saying that the m light should come on but it does not. I am thinking it is probably a bad switch. Any thoughts?
