Re: back seat broken cup holder.
It's not going to be easy...
The console runs in one piece all the way under the radio, and I have yet to figure out how to completely remove it despite messing with one twice on a wrecked 02. First time I was getting the cupholder out to replace a broken one for someone, second time I was getting the ECU out (below/behind the radio). Couldn't figure out how the front of the console is attached to the lower dash below the radio for the life of me, or at least how to separate them gracefully. Anyway, the rest of the console was busted from it's attachment points in the collision, so I didn't have to remove the screws along the base of it. I assume you can manage that. It might be tricky getting to some of them with the seats in place, removing the seats will probably make it easier. Once you've got it loose, you'll need to remove the trim from around the shifter, which just clips to the console as I recall. Then lift the rear of the console up as high as you can and hopefully you can get a short screwdriver under there and remove the two screws holding the cupholder in place, then slide it out. Good luck, Brent |

Start out as stated in the above post and once you remove the trim piece around the shifter there are 4 screws that you need to remove, 2 are located right and left of the bottom part of the shifter, the other 2 are the ones that hold the center piece (the trim piece around the radio) to the center glove box/ cup holder part you are trying to remove. Once they are removed along with the other 4 screws you removed ( from your other thread) you should beable to get it out and at the cup holder. Also remember that there is some wires on that piece you are trying to pull out for the power point, remember to take apart the connector before pulling it out of the truck to change to cup holder.
