Some questions...

Hi fellow modellers , i have got some questions for you , because i found a internet shop with models and accesories in the country i live in. It doesn't have any wide assortiment , but it's better then nothing. I was painting my models with spray cans , mostly automotive paints and also some tamiya , but now i consider getting an airbrush. Is Aztek A320 any good? Anybody has it or seen it , tried it , whatever? It's supposed to be really nice and easy to run (no cleaning required , you only put some chemicals in it , and blow through the thing to get it clean)...
Anyway the sell revell paints at not so good prices , but they have humbrol and pactra paints at fair prices... You know something about them? I never tried any of those , even haven't heard of "pactra" before... Thanks , oh and anyway what putty is the best? Because mine isn't usable anymore ( don't ask) , it was testors and i heard they're not so good... thanks...

anything from the aztec line is pretty good and requires little cleaning. alot of modellers in the states use it. ive been using my A320 for quite a white now and ive been pretty happy. just be sure to clean the nozzles out good and use the cleaning tool thay provided, and occasionally clean it with a pipe cleaner.

I mainly use humbrol paints that come in the tinlets and they are fine but their sprays are not very good. i also use humbrol putty which is good and milliput is good too but its a 2part putty, humbrol one is a paste.

sorry, can't help you out with the Aztec

if I may recommend an airbrush, get an Iwata, they are the top of the line in their ease of use and functionality

www.dixieart.com has the cheapest prices on iwatas, badgers, and paasches

an Iwata Eclipse is $90, but their single action Eclipse is only $55, and for model cars you won't need a double action airbrush (except maybe for weathering, I guess)

next best are Paasches or Badgers, the Paasche VL is a double action for only $55, while the single action Paasche is somewhere in the $40 range

it's better to spend a little more the first time and get something you won't have to replace, then to spend a little less only to replace it in a few years

get a compressor, a filter mask, and build a spray booth while you're at it
