SR or RB swap?

Im looking to get a 89-94 240sx coupe and wondering what would be a better swap? i know the SR is lighter but the RB can put out more power so ive heard...so what would you go with if you were in my situation?

Re: SR or RB swap?

Dude, that "simple question" is asked ALL THE TIME on here and we're all fucking sick of it, if you read the older threads, if you don't want to make the effort, just do a search! The answers will come up and no one will get pissed!

Re: SR or RB swap?

thanks for doing all the flaming logik. i'm glad you got it out of my system. and sidewayssilvia, layzienoy is right.. go look up both engines, see what kind of driving they're ideal for and go from there.. for now, don't post in this thread anymore. you're only going to be flamed more. also check the automotiveforums threads for this.. you'll find endless amounts of information

hmmm one is a 4 cylinder one is a 6 cylinder...which one do you think will make more power?

and the weight issue is not a huge deal, i think i remember reading that swapping to an SR from a KA saves you like 40 lbs., and swapping to an RB adds like 60 pounds (it might be 40/60 the other way, not sure). so its something to consider but not really a big deal, from what i have read 240's with the RB still handle well.

and jesus christ man there are 4 sticky's on this forum, they are almost entirely about swaps, give them a look, see what you find out.

Re: SR or RB swap?

lol yea but since you asked for someone elses opinion on what they would do....id say rb no doubt about it. IF your going to swap do one that will count. You can get same power out of ka as sr so.....sr is out of question to me. Dunno thats my outlook, either way you'll have more than enough power to enjoy.

ill help you out a little more

do not do the RB20 swap

SR is better for drifting than the RB motors ebcause only the RB25 and 26 are wortht the hassle, the weight affects your car differently and in things like drifting and autoX it makes a difference having balanced weight

actually

Instead of flaming...you should just have a certain quote like. "Sorry were Closed!" and clsoe the thread or delete it
