New keys

I have a 99 expedition and have only one working key. I recently purchased two new keys and had them cut. They open the doors and work in the ignition but wont start the car. I read that the 99 expedition needs two keys to program more keys. Since i only have one, does anyone know how to program the other two keys i have with out going to the dealer or a locksmith?

Please help

Re: New keys

In your owners manual it should be listed. I had the same problem. I got the keys on EBay and had my auto starter guy reprogram them for me cause it can ONLY have 3 keys. Yours, hers and the starter. Let me know if you dont have the info in your book. Its a matter of inserting your old and new keys in the ignition and turning them on/off.

That only works if you have two keys to begin with.

The dealer has to do it if you only have one.
