sub and amp probs

Hey recently i bought a 10" 500 watt Pyle amplified sub tube. I wired my car up and then i hooked up the wires to the amp and for some odd reason the amp wouldnt power up, so i double checked all of my wiring and found no problems.

Then i checked the ground w/ a volt meter and it registered at 12v, so i did the same w/ the power wire and got a 12v.

Next I did a continuity check w/ the amps wire imputs and the results in my oppion were odd, it said that the power, ground, and the remote turn on all showed continuity. ( think i said that right)

does anyone have any ideas????

what would u recommend, i like the tube idea cause it fits the sub and the box and the amp in a small amount of space and ive got a cavalier so i dont have much trunk space, ive got 30 where i can return my sub, so what would u reccomend, for as cheap as possible, im only 16 so im not loaded yet!!!

Hey fastlane take his advice, I think Pyle is made by Pyramid, their instructions and everything are the same. I've seen them at London Drugs, I've even bought and returned a Pyramid amp. On two different occasions I've gotten London Drugs salespeople to admit to me that Pyramid is absolute garbage. It seems good... but if you think about it their 1600W max amp for $160... why not just buy a real brand amp that has very low power output for around the same price? Pyramid/Pyle lies like hell about the power ratings!

250 would work better b/c then you could do a shiva and a ca600.
