89 civic
I saw an 89 civic that im gunna try to buy and I was just wondering how do people shift without an RPM gauge or nething. Or did they just expect everyone to go by sound.

Yeah i have an 89 std. hatch. it sucks without a tach but you do just go by sound it should be obvious if you are reving too high. and if you are bogging just remember to run it up a little more. eventually you get the feel for it. also you can use your speedometer to help i take 1st to 15 2nd to 25 3rd to 35

Re: 89 civic
I used the speedometer/sound when I didn't have my tach,
on a 1990 civic dx

the car that im lookin at has a b17 in it, so are the speeds the same? Also I could still just buy a tach and that would work rite?
