Headlight housing getting lil nicks and scratches!
My question is...how can you get rid of these? At night when I turn on my headlights you can see little nicks and scratches. I'm guessing this is from regular driving and rocks and what nots slamming into them. I heard there is a way to get rid of that but how?

hmm... I am unsure. In my situation, there is like dust covering the inside housing front of the headlight. Then the headlight beam looks kinda awkward. I don't know how to fix this... any feedback appreciated

Hey guys,
You can buy clear headlight covers, they are like thick clear vinyl coverings that are cut to fit the exact size of the headlight, foglights, and the front of the side mirrors, they are a little of an 1/8" thick and run about $40.00. The reason the Maximas headlights don;t nick or get scartched is because it uses thick 1" tempered glass and the G only uses plastic, Hope this helps, I will attach a link for the coverings when I find it again, I have a set on my GS, unfortunately, they are using plastic headlight housing also. Later, :alien:

Hey guys,
Whats up!! I have found one of the vendors for the clear headlight covers, a little pricier than last year for some reason. Here is the link. http://www.customprotex.com/ They are running for $53.00 to cover the headlights. And for the entire front end protection, they are running almost four bills!!! But it looks better than the traditional bra and it won't catch little rocks, sand particles that will rub against the paint and it won't mold. So, let me know how it turns out....install looks easy, just like tinting windows.. Lates, :flash: :flash: :flash: :flash: :flash: :flash: :flash: |

You can try a windsheild chip repair kit. It did an O.K. job on my old cars windsheild. I know headlight housings are plastic, but the repair kit is just an epoxy-like filler, so it'll prob. work.
Wicked- did you try swirling alcohol in there (like suggested in the clear corners thread)? L8R |
