Can someone help me? I have an auto-Trans and my shifter is really loose. I removed the pin which holds the shifter on the column and I found that the spring on the base of the shifter, inside the column which requires you to pull the shifter towards you when you shift, had broke. It's not broke to the point that I can't shift, just to the point that the shifter is extremly loose. Does anyone know the name of the part, because the dealer is stumped? How would I go about replacing it if I found a new one?

Re: 94 S-10 Blazer Shifter Problem
I think that the only way to get that spring is with the shifter handle.

Thanks, I'll look into that.
