Hey Everyone...Newbie to the forums.
I have a '99 Grand Cherokee Laredo 6 Cylinder with a few problems, which I was hoping some of you Jeep Experts or Car Buffs could give me some advice on. Here they are in order of annoyance: 1) I'm getting a clunk, coming from what seems to be the rear end, at all ranges of speed over bumps, varying in severity according to size of bump. Whether I'm turning the wheel or going straight, does not seem to have any bearing. I've checked the spare tire to make sure it is secure and it is. I've found threads about Front End Clunks but few/none about Rear End. 2) The A/C / Heater Vent seems to be stuck on Windshield defrost. It goes off OK and on OK, but I have no control over the vents used. 3) The rear defroster seem to only defrost with the Four top lines of the defroster. Are the other lines sperately wired or do you suppose they are physically damaged? Any ideas on how to repair these? I've done some searching for similar problems, but the threads I've found were vague or didn't seem similar enough to my situation. Any help is much appreciated! Love the Jeep however! -PigBoT Last edited by PigBoT; 01-05-2005 at 05:31 PM. |

Re: Clunk, A/C Heater Vent, Rear Defrost Problems - '99 GC Laredo V6
correction, it's an Inline 6, not a V6. a common mistake, but please don't insult one of the best running motors ever built.
