It depends upon how deep the water was. Also if it was raining then the filter may get a little wet cause water gets in the engine bay from the side of the hood and travels down. So some may drip on the filter. That's ok. Just make sure the filter isn't submerged in water. That's when you can hydrolock your engine and kiss it goodbye.
Here's a link for the V6 Intake http://6thgenaccord.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=856

That's the downside of the AEM V2 Intake System, the filter will get wet, I don't think it is worth it to have AEM V2 Intake System, I have the original AEM Intake System and it works fine.

Re: AEM bypass valve or not?
bypass isnt really necessary unless u like to take chances. I believe its something like 7/8s of ur filter could be submerged underwater and it still wouldnt be powerful enough to suck up water to hydrolock the engine. If u dont mind spending the $50 on a bypass valve then it doesnt hurt to buy one. better safe than sorry.

Re: AEM bypass valve or not?
I got an original AEM CAI and you have to cut the dman thing to put a bypass on it. Screw that, if i see my car going down in a lake ill cut the car off first....?? i mean think how deep its got to be to submerge the filter behind the bumper!

You have to do that with the cold air intake in order to put on the bypass valve. The bypass valve eliminates the chance of water ingestion into your engine. We don't want to take that chances right? having waters get into your engine.

Re: AEM bypass valve or not?
yeaaa dude i know. Buut like i said i dont plan on puttin the car in a position to have the intake submerged with the car running, like if it goes underwater i will def m ake sure to cut it off before it does! The intake is already cut buuut i aint gonna go buy a bypass!
