I have a v6 3.4l in my 1999 grand am. I had a coolant link and found it to be linking from around a bold that is by the thermostat. You know where the hose on the top of the motor on the right hand side there is a bold that is there that’s not part of the thermostat but is right near it. The head if the bolt is facing the rear of the motor at a slant. Well that bolt was loose. It was linking around it pretty bad. I tighten the bold and it stopped. Now my car is leaking again from the same spot. What would cause it to link around that bold? Thanks.

Re: 1999 Leaking coolant from bolt in motor
Put some RTV sealant around the thread of the bolt before you put that bolt back in and tighten it.
