97 blazer electrical problem?

I have a 97blazer LS with 123k, I was driving on a HWY the other day going about 60mph when I used my turn signal to switch lanes the Air bag light and ABS light blinked simutaneoulsy. Also there was a slight engine hesitation. It happened a few times that morining then went away. Then another day I pulled up to a stop light and the engine stalled. Thankfully it started right back up. Just tonight I was driving on the HWY again with the cruise control going straight, not switching lanes or anything and the ABS light blinked and the engine hesitation occured again. I have read previous posts of ignition switch problems. Could this also be the case in my situation or is the air bag going to go off in my face while I,m driving down the HWY?

Re: 97 blazer electrical problem?

I think that you are right about the ignition switch. It sounds like the SIR and ABS are going through their system checks (as when the key is first turned on).
