FS: '04 Dodge SRT-4

Well I'm selling my little Neon on steroids...

'04 Stage 2 Dodge SRT-4 for sale...

If anybody out there is looking for a good 25mpg-30mpg daily driver this car might interest you. The SRT-4 is pretty quick from the factory as most of you already know. Turbo charged, weighing less than 3,000lbs, and pushing 230hp/250tq at the wheels off the showroom floor essentially makes this car a freeway monster. The car is an early '04 model as well so it has the balance of the factory 7yr/70k mile warranty that Dodge has since done away with on this particular model.

The car has been modified the right way...no welfare mods, no budget boost controllers, and no aftermarket wastegates to trick the factory computer into a quicker spool. At 21k miles I installed the Mopar stage 2 turbo kit (PCM, TIP sensor, MAP sensor, bigger injectors, & new wastegate). As an OEM, Mopar's objective was a balance of power and durability while not sacrificing daily driving. The testing was extensive and it shows. Picking up 40whp/60wtq with a simple plug-and-play modification and keeping all the streetability of a daily driver is a beautifull thing.

In all honesty, the lion's share of my "spirited" driving has been done on twisty backroads or on the freeway, as evidence by the 20k miles of remaining tread on the factory low profile tires. The car has never been dragged, tracked or abused. I have fun with the car but, until recently, had no intention of ever selling it. It's been given a lot of TLC...synthetic oil changes every 3k miles, washed every other weekend, proper engine/clutch break in, etc.

My SRT-4 has also been lowered with Eibach springs, shorter endlinks, and polyeurethane sway bar bushings. I also replaced the stock exhaust with a 3" cat-back, stainless steel DC Sports setup. Although the exhaust swap netted another 15whp-20whp, the car is noticeably quieter (to my wife's delight) than a stock SRT-4 because of the longer, wider resonator.

I love the car but the car is a little too loud, both visually and in the standard sense, for the sales position I've just been offered. The boss has been very candid about his eagerness to see me in a more subtle vehicle. Corporate customers tend to scrutinize anybody trying to sell them $60k worth of high-end office equipment.

This is a good car that still looks, smells, and feels like new. Post here or PM me with questions or comments. The rest of my modifications are in my signature.

Re: FS: '04 Dodge SRT-4

This car hauls ass fellas. For the options, warranty, and modifications getting this car at $17,995 is a good buy. I paid $22,300 before taxes for it in October of 2003. I'm not the typical teenage SRT-4 owner. I'm 28, married, and not interested in flying up and down city streets. This car has been freeway driven and still has 2 years of tire tread left.
