99 JGC heater problem!!!
Not sure if its the blower motor or the relay. I took out the old relay, cleaned it up slightly and replaced it and the car blew heat for about a minute and then just stopped. Does this mean the relay is bad or is it a short in the blower motor itself? Or is it something else entirely?? Please help!

Re: 99 JGC heater problem!!!
Okay, I replaced the blower motor and it ran for about two minutes and then kicked off. It has not come back on since. I've read other threads about jiggling wires, but nothing seems to help. Anyone have any thoughts??

could be your wiring harness. When the motors and resitors start acting up, the sometimes pull to many amps and can melt the wiring harness. This might be your problem. I have already had 2 mototrs , 2 resistors and one wiring harness replaced on mine

Beach,
Thanks for the advice. Replaced the wiring harness and the resistor this weekend and it's working again. What a relief; it's cold in Omaha! Take Care! |
