no heat on 93 escort
I started out with no blower, replaced it and it jams, but I have no hot air flowing, only cold even after driving 6 miles, all help is appreciated

check the linkage that runs from the control panel - it's cable driven and often the clip comes out. On the passenger's side below the dash (on the side of the middle console), look for a white plastic "gear". It should move back and forth as you move the control from cold to hot. If not, see what's come loose. This is, of course, assuming that the engine is coming up to operating temperature...

i changed the thermostat and still have no luck. after the car heats up to the normal mark it will throw heat for 30 sceands and then back to cold. what to do?

when this happened to me, it was cause I didn't have enough coolant. And it wasn't at least 50/50. I ended up freezing my block, completely. Flushed the system, new thermostat, all is good.
Lucky I didn't crack the block. |
