timing
i have an 86 accord and i adjusted the timing a bit the other day and right after that the car wouldnt start. To get it back do i just have someone crank the engine as i turn the distributer a litlle at a time till it starts or what?

what do you mean? Isnt there only one kind of timing? I adjusted the distributer just a little becuase it was weak cuz i was at a higher elevation but i guess i went to far so now it wont start. Sorry, not trying to sound stupid

ok, I looked all over for a way to loosen my distributor on my 1988 FI accord and cant find a way to do so. my timing is a bit too far advanced and I need to back it off.. can anyone help?

there should be two bolts/screws holding it in place and just loosen those and turn it.
