What era of WS-6? Trans Am or Formula? Pontiac, LT or LS?

You have some weight and traction disadvantages to overcome (in addition to a lack of power) to beat the Z06 vette.

There are many, many ways to go about this. Unfortunately, with the late model stuff they likely won't be cheap (unless you have friends in all the right places).

you can upgrade your LS1 engine to the Z06 heads and Cam and should remain CA legal (if you have to deal with stuff like this). If you have an '01 or '02 car, you already have the same intake. Otherwise, you'd need to upgrade this too. But even this stuff will only get you the same power. you need more to haul the heaver F-body around. One way is with a supercharger. Not cheap, but very effective. I don't reccomend nitrous because it's a short power gain that can destroy an engine if not set up properly, let alone really needs forged pistons for long term use.

you'll need the computer re-programmed to make optimum use of the performance parts. there are plenty of custom tuners out there...

You also need a good set of headers on top of the cat back exhaust. The manifolds on the F-body don't flow nearly as well as the ones on a vette, or aftermarket headers.

Then , you need to getthe power to the ground. It's useless if you sit there spinning your wheels all day. There are multiple brands of kits that will help your car plant the tires(lower control arms, adjustable torque arms, urethane trans mounts, etc..)

Is your car a manual or auto? depending on your set up, maybe a set of rear end gears? 3:73 or 4:11s if you have the 6 speed.

I think if you addressed all this you'd have a car that would upset many a z06 owners...
