So you want to put a 96 Integra (B18B1) Head on a 90 Integra(B18A1) Block? I dont really see the point in that. Are you trying to get LSVTEC out of this? If you are, use the 99-00 Si head(B16A2). As for the motors, 90-93 LS, GS, RS had the B18A1, 1.8L DOHC NON VTEC 140hp. The 92-93 GSR has a B17A1, 1.7L DOHC VTEC 160hp. The 94+ LS, GS, RS had the B18B1, 1.8L DOHC NON VTEC 142hp and the 94+ GSR had the B18C1, 1.8L DOHC VTEC 170hp. I think that's about all you need to know.

If you are going through the trouble of tearing your bottom end down, you might as well do it all (or at least some). As far as what you do is going to depend on your application. What do you want to do? N20, boost, all motor....??
All I am saying is while your down there, ballance your rods and throw some forged pistons in. As far a compression....that too depends on you application. If your going NA use high compression (11:1+). If your going to run boost (N2O, TC, SC) use lows (9.8:1-).

Good luck! :smoker:

the compression in it now is extreamly high
its 12.5:1 i know i wanna lower the compression from that cause it cant even go threw the higher rpms if you dont have a 104 octane

i wanna go all motor threw this years and next years season and then prolly gut the car and boost her up =]
i would like to break into the 12's all motor which is a big ass goal but possible

I thought this was a stock b18b1? If so, how do you get 12.5:1 out of it?!?!? Get lower compression pistons and ballance the bottom end. Will run kinda weak from what you are used too, but wait till you get that turbo.........oh baby!!

What else have you done to prepare for this badass engine?

"90-93 LS, GS, RS had the B18A1, 1.8L DOHC NON VTEC 140hp. "

wrong, 90-91 only had 130hp, 92+ had 140 and thats when it was changed to b18b. The change in the head gave it more HP, the blocks are all the same. I believe the serial # is right but easy as it seems I can not find a reliable source of what the exact serial # is for 92-93, even the honda hybrid pages has incorect specs and yes the head will bolt up to the block
