Solenoid replacement
I think the solenoid on the starter is crapping out on me. I can hear the starter (at least I am assuming it is the starter), but the car does not start. The starter sounds fine; no grinding.
I am wondering the difficultly of replacing the solenoid. Do I need to remove the starter to replace the solenoid? Is this a one-hour job, two-hour job...? Marmot |

I replaced the starter and solenoid. It toke me a little over one hour. The hardest part was getting access to all of the bolts.
The exhaust runs right by the starter, so it was difficult getting enough room to make the wrench/socket turn the bolts. It was a little cool doing the job. My garage is not heated and the temperature was around -3f. Marmot |
