core support? radiator support? lock carrier?

So im back guys. I had asked a few weeks ago for a new hood and bumper, but no such luck. BUT i got an estimate and it is going to be like $2700 to get my car fixed. (yeah, PLPD, no insurance $$) so while i was getting the estimate the guy told me i needed a new core support, or radiator support, bently's service manual calls it a lock carrier i think. anyways he said i could do it myself, because it was going to take them 7 hrs to replace it. and at $50/hr labor... yeah. i'll try to get a pic of what im talking about.

marked001 i remember you had some pics of a timing belt you replaced. and i know in your pics, you had removed this core support thing. if you have any advice or other pics of taking this off that would be great.

to describe the part... its like the entire front end. what the ac condenser and the radiator and the headlights all bolt to. its made of some plastic fiber stuff. well sorry ive been so vague, but i need some help. thanks guys.

Re: core support? radiator support? lock carrier?

yeah..that's a god way to describe it.. it pretty much carries everything on the front of the car.. lots of work to take it out.... but nothing difficult at all... take a look at this tech article.. explains how to take it off.. I hope this is what you wanted.. http://www.audiworld.com/tech/eng35.shtml
