DIY help

Does anyone know of an online DIY for a Gen6 Civic instead of the Accord for the following conversion: http://www.andrews.edu/~johnsonm/how...perlights.html

I'm referring to running totally clear but still have the cop-friendly turn signals when I need them

I thought that article could also be applied to an extent Civic headlights

=============
Original Headlight configuration [ X = orange turnsignals, O = white H4s ]:

(X O ) ------ ( O X)

=============
Wishing for: X & O to run both white when headlights on, but needing to add another bulb [x] into casing to supply the must-have orange turn signal

(xX O ) ------ ( O Xx)

=============

Does that make sense or am I just making my case more confusing?

Simplified version: I want clear corners with the orange turn signal

You're lucky I still have OEMs all opened up!

It could be done but, the best place to put another bulb harness sits right beside the turn signal(s). It would sit just in frt. of the turn signal(s). (Where the reflector is)

You could also try something else... or use a projector housing...

That's easy...
Just tap the parking lights for power. Wait a minute... How do you want it to work? (always on vs. whatever)

What I'm thinking of doing is adding another bulb harness where the orange reflector once was and place the OEM orange bulb there. And place a hyperwhite in the original turnsignal spot.

My issue is wiring the new turnsignal so it will ONLY act as a turnsignal - and not be on when my headlights are on (thus giving the white/orange appearance). So the replaced hyperwhites (in the orginal turnsignal spots) will be on when my headlights are - giving me the white/white look.

I haven't looked to see if there are two seperate sources coming from the original turnsignal spot making this process alot easier. My fear is there is only a single thus making this a more electrical-difficult project.

Dude, it's just like doing sidemarkers BMW-style except they are in the headlight housing!

BTW, does anyone know off the top of their head what type of bulb the turnsignal is (99 Civic)?
