tail light and dash light trouble

please help me after i turn off my engine if i hit the brakes my dash light,park lights and tail lights come on what would cause this to happen before this started a few days earlier my check engine light was coming on but if i let off the gas and slowed down it would go off but come back on when i would speed up but if i turn off engine the check engine light would stay off for a few day.please help if you can thanks so very much. laboat33
