Can somebody tell me where the door chime (key chime, warning chime) is located. It is the missing link on my 95 aurora. Everything works fine, except for this chime. I have been missing this for some time. Can somebody please help me. If anything, when you get in your cars next time, just give me a general area. Thanks in advance for the help.

Page 8A-76-3 indicates that the chime function is
performed by the instrument panel itself, and not
a seperate chime module. If all connections are
there, the only recommendation they keep spitting
out is to replace the instrument cluster... which
I would think is not worth the chime function.
By the looks of section 8C, you probably don't want
to get into it. It has you stripping the console to
the frame to get this out. Check your wiring
harnesses going to the instrument panel and make
sure they are all on as snug as you can reach.

Cool

Thanks for the help. I opened up the cluster and found a speaker. The speaker was disconnected. Whoever owned the car before me obviously disconnected this because of the problem they had with the Drvr info cntr. It always said "park brake set" which is normally accompanied with a chime. I replaced the ignition switch solving that problem. I now finally have the chime working. This is the first time the dic has worked since I have owned my aurora.

There are earlier posts on how to remove the instrument panel. Once you remove the instrument panel, have the side where you insert the light bulbs facing toward you (backside). Right behind the gas gage, there is a white plastic cover with a lot of holes on it. When you remove the two screws, it will reveal the multi-function chime. It is just a 1.5 inch speaker. I already put my dash back together, and can only go so far in depth. If you have further questions, just post another reply. Thanks
