Stealth subwoofer installation?
Is it possible to mount a single 8 or 10 inch sub inside the spare tire well?
That way I could use the entire trunk still, and it would be invisible to potential thieves. I'm not looking for serious bump, just a nice bassline if I feel like playing some rap. |

yes, Ive asked the same question in an earlier thread . There is a "how to" on dmstuner.com but the kid dosent make it flush with the floor. I assume you have a dsm and not a civic?

Actually I have a civic now.. hopefully getting a 97-99 GSX later in the year. But planning ahead.
I found the walkthrough.. would it suffer if it were under the fiberboard? So no part of it is visible? Basically my goal is to have the sub and keep ALL of the trunk for my stuff. |

Re: Stealth subwoofer installation?
if you have the sub you want to use, goto the factorys website and look up in their tech section what kind of air space you'll need to run the woofer adiquitly. compare that to the space avaliable. smaller subs (10') require less air, the box type makes a big diffrence too. thats why you dont see 15's laying in there.
