tranny swap $
ok i have a guy who i can a used 5 speed transmission from for about 150 dollars. now i know a couple of people recently got their auto swapped with 5 speed. does anyone know how much just labor is on 95 ex. i am of course also gonna sell the place the auto. any responses would be appreciated i just dont want to know how much it cost back in 95 or anything like that. thanks in advance

Just a couple things I can think of off the top of my head.... you'll need the shift linkage, a new center console for a manual shifter, the actual shift knob and you should probably just buy a short shifter while your in there. So that right there, if you can find a good deal on it all, is an additional $100+. Besides that, I don't know the actual mechanical end of swapping auto-to-manual. I assume it's just bolts and tranny fluid. Go buy a Chilton (Mechanics Book), that should help.

I had a friend who converted his....he finally got it to work but he went through months of agrrivation....dude i say leave your car auto.
