CR-V Ignition Problem?
Well our first day of the year is off to a bang. We left our home for Bossier City earlier this afternoon in my wifes '99 CR-V and a ways out it made a strange noise and completly shut down leaving us stranded on I-20. I tried starting it back up but it would not start. It spins over ok but will not start. I first thought the timing belt broke but I unscrewed the oil fill cap and watched the cam while my wife cranked it over and they still turn so I assume that is ok. When the wrecker driver got there we pulled a plug wire and stuck a screwdriver in it to check for a spark and that seems to be the problem. No fire. I know nothing about imports and could use some advice on where to start troublshooting. Does the computer control this or just a coil?
