1969 beetle

I have just purchased a 69 beetle. I am in process of restoring it for my daughter. I have been working lighting issues for two weeks. I have been searching for the backup light switch as of late but I still have not found it. Any Idea's pf where it may be located? Anyone....

It's on the forward right of the transaxle nosecone, right next to the front mount.
