Angry burnt brakelights

2001 Focus sedan constantly burning out brakelight bulbs . Replace bulbs and they last about 2 weeks. Also replaced bulb sockets. No signs of water in lights. Anybody had similar problems?

Re: burnt brakelights

look for bare wire that might be rubbing on metal. it'll short out a bulb in no time. also, if im not mistaken, too large of a fuse will too. too much current goin to the bulb isn't good.

however, correct me if im wrong...

I had a problem with my grand am with burning out headlights. i had condensation forming on the inside of the lens. All i did was take a drill and a very small drill bit and drill a few holes on the bottom of the lens near the rubber seal. never had a problem with that again
