Input/Turbine Speed Sensor...
Problem 1 - P0307 Cylinder 7 Misfire Detected
Problem 2 - P0716 Input/Turbine Speed Sensor Circuit Range/Performance Problem 3 - P0717 Input/Turbine Speed Sensor Circuit No Signal Question 1 - How do I get to the spark-plug of Cylinder 7? I can't seem to reach it. I mean, I know where it is, I just don't have any idea how to get a clear look at it. Question 2 - What is the function of the Input/Turbine Speed Sensor Circuit and where is it located? |

Re: Input/Turbine Speed Sensor...
Well the #7 spark is easily reached. Just remove the cable and use a socket extension to take out the plug.
Unfortunately that is the least of your worries if the " speed sensor" is what I think it is. I believe it is the dreaded input speed sensor that is located in the transmission. Are you having shifting problems ??? This sensor is located inside the tranny and can only be repaired by removing the entire tranny. This is a common problem with the Auroras. Over time the badly designed sensor deteriorates because it absorbs tranny fluid. Your looking at a min $1200-$1500 repair. This happened to me and I just opted for a $3000 tranny rebuild as I was already going to pay for over half the cost for just the sensor. Good Luck. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Hopefully Iam wrong.
