Arrow caliper bolt specs

Hi all, Happy New Year,

Can someone tell me the size of the star shape tool that I will need to remove the caliper mounting bolts on a 99 Cavalier?
Thanks

Re: caliper bolt specs

3/8 allen .... righty tighty, lefty loosey... to tighten do it by hand till tight then a light tap on the socket wrench with a hammer to snug it up. Don't go over board here...

Cool, they got away from those T-30 torx. I hated those things. I have brore a few torx bit sockets over the years.

I think you were just using the wrong tool. Every cav I have ever worked on from 89-04 have all had a 3/8 allen screws to remove the calliper.

They may have been replacement bolts. I don't know how you could confuse a allen and a torx??? I did not buy the car new. so perhaps they had been changed. Who know?
