?question about aftermarket stereo sys.

I have 2 15" kicker comp subs (single voice coil i think) hooked up to a 1,000 watt crunch amp (60 bucks at fry's). it sounds ok and doesn't heat up. but i want some serious shit the cheapest way. what amp and sub combo (15" ofcoarse) should i buy to make window paines rattle in peoples homes. I like audiobahn. anybody know. would I need to add a battery in the trunk and a farad capacitor?

Re: ?question about aftermarket stereo sys.

There isn't really a cheap way to make window paines rattle. If you want a hard hitting system with 2 15's it'll cost you atleast $500-600 and that's ebay prices.

Re: ?question about aftermarket stereo sys.

why do you feel the need to make other people's house rattle and need to be heard far away and such? It drives people nuts and laws are being more strict when it comes to audio. Eventually, it will get the the point where you cannot be heard at all or you'll get fined.

to answer some of the question, a battery or a capacitor will not help you out to get what you want.

You don't need to spend $500+ to get "hard hitting subs." I just installed a $350 sub (single 12") into a friend's hatchback integra and it hits damn hard that the rear windshield wipers are able to left itself about 2 inches off the windshield.

Re: ?question about aftermarket stereo sys.

Well he has 2 15 kicker comp's and he's not a satisfied. He also said that he wants an "amp sub combo (15 of course)" True you can get a hard hitting single 12 for $350, but he needs an amp as well.

Also the new battery will do alot of good. A capacitor will do nothing at all. But a new alternator is a must if you are pusing more than 1000 RMS. And you should also do the big 3 to make the best use of that new alternator and battery.

If you want a really hard hitting system, it's not going to be cheap.

well i do agree that nothing is more intrusive than a thumping stereo system while you're trying to sleep,BUT i've always had the 2 twelve's & so on just like every body else & want to step into something a bit more serious. And unfortunately I've gotten use to the 15's. I think I'll try dual voice coil 15's and maybe a class d amp.
