Steering Problem with 1996 LeSabre
The steering is completely out on my 96 Lesabre. I parallel parked it fine, and now when I turn it on I can spin the steering wheel forever and the wheels will not turn. I can still lock the wheel after I turn off the engine, but when I turn it back on the steering wheel becomes 'disconnected' again. Are there any quick fixes I might be able to check for or is this a problem that has to go to a mechanic?

Have your car TOWED to a shop. Sounds like your steering rack is bad.
