on the driver side kick panel where the ecu is located under the plastic cover there will be a green service connection. Take a jumper wire and connect the two sides of the terminal together. turn the key to the on position and the abs light will blink out a code and a sub code. i don't have the time to list all the codes and what they mean but if you buy a haynes or helms manual it will tell you the part that is tripping the light. If the light only comes on when the car is moving forward(not when it is in reverse or just stared and stationary) then it is probably one of the speed sensors. Hope this helps.

Re: damn abs light

the abs modulater is the unit that has six brake lines attached to and should be located in the engine bay on the passenger side between the fender well and the headlamp... I assume what you're referring to as far as the brake fluid is concerned is the brake master cylinder and as far as filling it up there should be two markings on it one saying MAX and the other saying MIN and yes you want to have the brake fluid filled to the MAX level.

Re: damn abs light

yes the modulator should also be full of brake fluid, you don't want any air in any of brake fluid passages.

Have you looked for leaks? Are there any?
I would just check for leaks then fill the unit up to the max line and then reset the ecu and see if you have any more problems.
