Not necessary , if you're not in the US you don't have to go through all this shit and get it around 40k $ or even below... in Japan
You can also get used for around 25-30 k $ depending on condition , milage , and mods done

Or if you plan on only racing it you don't have to submit a complience package, so your just paying anywere from 25-50k plus a few thousand for shipping.

i saw on some site where they were selling a R34 GTR for $35,000. they also have this one place in torrance, CA that convert skylines to right hand steering and selling it for a ridiculous $89,000.

but if you really want one, best if you go to japan, its probably the cheapest. in Australia and the UK, the price are pretty much the same as if you were to buy it in America.

Not true, the GT-R is much cheaper in UK/Australia than it is in the US -

54 x by the average exchange rate of 1.5 dollars = $81000+ you have to pay more for petrol and insurance

altho if you go to www.autotrader.co.uk its around
30 - 40 thousand pounds $45 - 60 k


www.motorex.com is the only one that makes it legal for road use

NZ and Japan are still the cheapest places to buy one, I've seen an R33 V-spec II online for around 30k USD, if you want a GTSt you can find one of them for anywere from 5k USD to 15k USD. Beware though, the prices on R32s will be going up as the Pre '94 ban has come into effect.
