Fixed Fuel Pressure Regulator
Well I have found the problem with the gas smell. It was the fuel pressure regulator which runs about 75 to 80 dollars and around 60 labor not so bad, if u have to have this item changed make sure they pull the injectors to make sure the rubber rings around them are not bad, those also had to be replaced.

Re: Fixed Fuel Pressure Regulator
I payed $50 for a FPR at rockauto.com. It was cheaper than getting it from the dealership since autozone and o'riellys don't carry the part. I wouldn't mind paying $60 for labor since I already have the part.
My wife drives the car and complained about it smelling like gas. It took me awhile to find out where the gas smell was coming from. I found it just by chance. I could actually see the gas leaking out of it and my wife had told me that her fuel mileage went down. |
