my check engine light came on!!! also ac help

ok hey what up im 16 and i just bought a 94 tc its a pretty nice ride my check engine light came on but when i turn the car off the light goes off its really only comes on when i acclerate a bit much. ok on the ac how the hell do u work it i mean when i turn it 2 60 degrees it takes a long time 4 it 2 come on and when i put it on 80 degrees it takes a long time 4 it 2 work my mom says its because its electrionic i dunno help.

First.....
Get a cheap code scanner from your local Walmart, Autozone, etc. These come with connection and diagnosis procedures for reading your "check engine" condition. For 1994, the OBDI scanner is correct.

As for the AC / Heater....
Town Car will not attempt to blow hot air if the heater core isn't hot enough to support the setting. In other words, when you fire up a Nissan and crank up the defroster, it blows cold air at the windshield. Your Town Car wont operate the fan until it can blow air the temperature you selected.

With that said, there's no other delay in the system and it should do what you set it to do. Fan problems should be seperated from heat/cool problems in initial diagnosis.
